The Pettus Eagles came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 45 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Prairie Lea with points to spare, taking the game 57-38. 57 seems to be a good number for Pettus as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Pettus' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hayleigh Cruz led the charge by scoring 24 points along with four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Cruz has scored at least a third of Pettus' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Reyna, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds.

Pettus is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 20-10 record this season. As for Prairie Lea, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
