            Baseball Recap: Bloomfield Bombers vs. Cuba-Rushford Rebels        
        
		
        
        
            If Bloomfield was feeling good  fresh off their  10-2 takedown of Greece Olympia on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bombers fell just short of the Cuba-Rushford Rebels by a score of  3-2 on Saturday. The  matchup marked the Bombers' lowest-scoring  game so far this season.
 Joey Walsh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks.
 At the plate, Bloomfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kevin Dredger, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base.  Braedon Smith also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Cuba-Rushford, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.
 Looking ahead, Bloomfield will square off against Dundee at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Cuba-Rushford, they will head out to  take on Andover  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
