Basketball Recap: Rushford-Peterson Piles Up the Points Against Spring Grove

Rushford-Peterson won the last time they faced Spring Grove and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rushford-Peterson Trojans blew past the Spring Grove Lions 66-34. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 22 points or more this season.

Rushford-Peterson pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Spring Grove, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-14.

Rushford-Peterson will venture away from home to square off against Caledonia at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Caledonia knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 21 games -- so hopefully Rushford-Peterson likes a good challenge. As for Spring Grove, they will be playing at home against Lanesboro at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
