Volleyball Game Preview: Centennial Huskies vs. King Wolves

Centennial is 1-8 against King since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Huskies will be playing at home against the Wolves at 5:45 p.m. Centennial will be strutting in after a win while King will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Centennial turned things around against Corona on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers. The Huskies not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 11th (when they won 3-0).

Centennial's got stronger as the match went on, holding Corona to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-13, 25-12.

Meanwhile, King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against Santiago, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-12, 25-9.

King's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Centennial, their victory bumped their record up to 12-13.

Centennial was able to grind out a solid win over King in their previous meeting back in March, winning 3-1. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
