Volleyball Recap: Appleton West Comes Up Short

Appleton West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Homestead Highlanders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Terrors of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Among those leading the charge was Samuel Lanthier, who had 16 digs and two assists. Those 16 digs gave him a new career-high.

Appleton West's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Homestead, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-15 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Appleton West and Notre Dame Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 20th. As for Homestead, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Waukesha West on the 13th.
