Softball Recap: Valley Catholic Comes Up Short

Valley Catholic managed to slip by Warrenton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Valiants came up short against the Warriors on Thursday, falling 6-0. The shutout was out of character for the Valiants seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Valley Catholic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allison Jacobs, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

The loss snapped Valley Catholic's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-4 record. As for Warrenton, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Valley Catholic will venture away from home to face off against Banks at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Braves' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Valiants' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Warrenton, they will take on Seaside on Saturday.
