Village Christian had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came out on top against the South Pasadena Tigers by a score of 5-1. That's two games straight that the Crusaders have won by exactly four runs.

Leah Mosley was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alina Newman, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Village Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for South Pasadena, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Village Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Heritage Christian at 3:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for South Pasadena, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-4 victory against Polytechnic on the 12th.
