Basketball Recap: Healdsburg Skates Past Anderson Valley with Ease

Healdsburg came into Friday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They claimed a resounding 75-34 win over the Anderson Valley Panthers.

Thatcher Little was his usual excellent self, going 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Ethan Overdorf was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Healdsburg smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matches.

Healdsburg's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Anderson Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Healdsburg will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Middletown at 2:00 p.m. on December 31st. After both having extra time off, Anderson Valley and Round Valley will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 8:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
