Basketball Recap: Joey Frivaldo Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat James Madison Preparatory School

BASIS - Mesa's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the James Madison Preparatory School Patriots by a score of 49-38. That result was just more of the same for these two, as BASIS - Mesa also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2019.

BASIS - Mesa's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joey Frivaldo, who posted 21 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Omari Hester was another key player, putting up 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

BASIS - Mesa's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for James Madison Preparatory School, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

BASIS - Mesa will take on Academy with Community Partners in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for James Madison Preparatory School, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tri-City Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
