Baseball Recap: Grandview Comes Up Short

Grandview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Winnetonka Griffins. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Griffins earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Grandview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Ransom, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Grandview's loss dropped their record down to 10-14-2. As for Winnetonka, their victory bumped their record up to 10-14.

Looking ahead, Grandview will host Raytown South at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Winnetonka, they will venture away from home to face off against Smithville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
