Volleyball Recap: Sutherland Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Sutherland lost to Wallace back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Sailors walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Wildcats.

The win didn't come easy: Wallace scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19.

Leah Harper paced Sutherland's offense, picking up ten kills. Harper got some help from Drew Rotert and her 21 assists.

Sutherland's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8. As for Wallace, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Sutherland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Paxton on the 20th. As for Wallace, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Cambridge on the 18th.
