Baseball Recap: Delphi Community Comes Up Short

Delphi Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 19-4 to the Madison-Grant Argylls. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Argylls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 on Saturday.

Delphi Community saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Levi Coghill, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Keygan Elliott also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Delphi Community's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Madison-Grant, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Delphi Community will take on Rensselaer Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bombers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Oracles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Madison-Grant, they have already played their next game, an 11-1 defeat against Lapel on the 15th.
