Volleyball Game Preview: Florida Christian Patriots vs. Westwood Christian Warriors

Florida Christian is a perfect 5-0 against Westwood Christian since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Patriots will host the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Florida Christian is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering True North Classical Academy just ended the team's six-match winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the Titans, falling 3-0.

While Florida Christian had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Westwood Christian suffered their biggest loss since August 26th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Coral Shores. Considering the last time the Warriors couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-11, 25-19.

Westwood Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Florida Christian, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 17-3.

Florida Christian beat Westwood Christian 3-1 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
