Basketball Recap: Ocoee Skates Past Boone with Ease

Ocoee's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They really took it to the Boone Braves for the full four quarters, racking up a 75-17 win. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 29 points or more this season.

Boone lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Naima Durandisse, who posted five points in addition to nine boards and three blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last 16 games she's played dating back to last season.

Ocoee is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 39 points. As for Boone, they dropped their record down to 5-7 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, Ocoee will be home for the holidays to greet Horizon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Boone and Winter Springs will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
