Softball Recap: Seven Rivers Christian Comes Up Short

Seven Rivers Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 14-1 to Zephyrhills Christian Academy. Seven Rivers Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Zephyrhills Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Seven Rivers Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalee Tidwell, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was Tidwell's first of the season.

Seven Rivers Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Zephyrhills Christian Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.

Seven Rivers Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ocala Christian at 6:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for Zephyrhills Christian Academy, they will take on Wiregrass Ranch at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Zephyrhills Christian Academy's pitchers better be ready for this one: Wiregrass Ranch has averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
