Softball Recap: Worthington Christian Warriors vs. Bexley Lions
Worthington Christian came into Friday's game having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Bexley Lions 16-2. The win was just what Worthington Christian needed coming off of an 18-11 loss in their prior match.
For Bexley's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alison Lefkowitz, who went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Worthington Christian's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6. As for Bexley, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7.
Worthington Christian will head out on the road to square off against Whitehall-Yearling at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bexley, they have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Franklin Heights at 10:00 a.m. in their first game on Saturday. Bexley is facing Franklin Heights at the right time seeing as Franklin Heights is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
