Soccer Recap: East Davidson Takes a Loss

The matchup between East Davidson and Providence Grove on Friday hardly resembled the 1-1 effort from their previous meeting. The East Davidson Golden Eagles lost 7-3 to the Providence Grove Patriots. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Golden Eagles were already down 4-0.

East Davidson is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for Providence Grove, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Davidson will take on Asheboro at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Asheboro's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so East Davidson's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Providence Grove, they will face off against Uwharrie Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Providence Grove will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last.
