Two dominant backs in Makhi Czaykowski and Francis Saporito are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Beckman Patriots will be playing at home against the Marina Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Beckman's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last five games.
Beckman is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down Valencia 45-27 on Friday. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 295th, while the Tigers are ranked 665th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Beckman had a senior duo take command as Noah Nam threw for 205 yards and three TDs on only 13 passes and Julian Rosa picked up 140 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Nam's passing game has become a key predictor of the Patriots' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Beckman, adding 15 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Czaykowski, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Marina, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Kennedy by a score of 14-7 on Friday.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Marina proved: they limited Kennedy to a paltry 2.8 yards per carry. The team can thank Gunnar Mickelson for the heroic effort on defense: he. Marina's ground attack was stronger, having averaged four.
Marina didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Gabriel Jessee and Lambert. Jessee is also crushing it when it comes to defended passes: he's defended at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Lambert got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Beckman pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.5 points over those games. As for Marina, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
