Softball Recap: St. Patrick Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

St. Patrick and Enterprise squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but St. Patrick had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 17-3. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 9-2 loss on Friday.

St. Patrick's defeat dropped their record down to 21-12. As for Enterprise, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-9 record this season.

St. Patrick does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Enterprise, they will take on West Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 2.2, the Trojans 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
