Volleyball Recap: Chesterton's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Chesterton entered their tilt with Marquette Catholic on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Blazers by a score of 2-0. The Trojans were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Blazers, so the Trojans were just returning the favor.

Tenley Davis paced Chesterton's offense, picking up ten kills. Davis got some help from Abigail Parrish and her ten assists. Delaney Barrett and Reese Dilbeck kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Despite the defeat, Marquette Catholic saw an underclassman step up: freshman Olivia Zmuda had ten digs and one assist. Kira Oman also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Chesterton's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Marquette Catholic, they moved to 8-4 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Chesterton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Hammond Bishop Noll on the 13th. As for Marquette Catholic, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Wheeler on the 13th.
