Volleyball Recap: Northridge Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Northridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain View Mountain Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mountain Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-13, 24-26, 25-10.

Sophia Carbajal paced Northridge's offense, picking up 12 kills. Carbajal got some help from Dalanie Jones and her 19 assists. Ella Burkholder controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Northridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Mountain View, their win ended a 12-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-12.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Northridge is set to square off against their familiar foe Wellington at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mountain View will challenge rival Greeley Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
