Real Life Christian Academy put the hurt on Hernando Christian Academy with a sharp 31-5 win last Tuesday. That 26 run margin sets a new team best for the Raptors this season.
Real Life Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Eliana Klein, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Those stolen bases marked the first that Klein snagged this season. Shawn Ramsey was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI.
Real Life Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .741. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in eight consecutive matches dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Wildwood came up short against Countryside Christian on Thursday, falling 18-1.
Wildwood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Barron, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI.
Real Life Christian Academy pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 25.0 runs over those games. As for Wildwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Wildwood's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Real Life Christian Academy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 15.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Wildwood, though, as they've been averaging 9.9 hits. Given Real Life Christian Academy's sizable advantage in that area, Wildwood will need to find a way to close that gap.
