Baseball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

The matchup between Lincoln and Marshall on Wednesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Tigers came up short against the Barristers, falling 19-0. Considering the last time the Tigers couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Lincoln saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raymond Baez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.

Lincoln has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Marshall, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Marshall beat Lincoln by a score of 16-1 on Friday.
