Basketball Recap: Milan Takes a Loss

Milan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Waldron Mohawks, falling 60-34. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 62-45 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Waldron got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Allison Hensley out in front who went 5 for 8 on her way to 11 points and five steals. That's the most steals Hensley has posted since back in November of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Emerson Lindsey, who earned 17 points and six boards.

Milan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Waldron, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-15.

Milan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-26 victory against Crothersville on the 4th. As for Waldron, they have also already played their next game, an 82-42 win against Southwestern on the 5th.
