Basketball Recap: Morrison Wins Going Away Against Pawhuska

The third road matchup was the charm for Morrison, as they earned their first road win of the season. They enjoyed a cozy 61-44 victory over the Pawhuska Huskies on Saturday. The game marked the Wildcats' most dominant win of the season so far.

Despite the defeat, Pawhuska had strong showings from Darien West, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 11 points, and Dax Godsey, who posted seven points and five assists. That's the most assists Godsey has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Sweeden, who put up six points.

Morrison's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Pawhuska, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morrison will venture away from home to challenge Pawnee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pawhuska, they will take on Newkirk at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
