Maclay has gone a perfect 4-0 against Jefferson County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Marauders will host the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Maclay's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Jefferson County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Maclay will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating North Florida Christian, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Marauders never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Tuesday.

Maclay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Henry Richardson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Jefferson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 17-3 to Godby.

Carlos McBride made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Maclay is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Jefferson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.

Maclay took their victory against Jefferson County when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-3 score. Will the Marauders repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
