 Even though the Benjamin Franklin Bayhawks scored an imposing 73 points on Wednesday, the Carver Vo-Tech Bears still came out on top. Carver Vo-Tech came out on top in a nail-biter against Benjamin Franklin  and snuck past  75-73. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win Carver Vo-Tech has posted  yet this season.
  Dorrian Sands continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines,  scoring 26 points along with nine  rebounds and three  steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which  he has scored at least a third of Carver Vo-Tech's points. Another player making a difference was  Kalial Colclough, who  scored 13 points along with five  assists and five  steals.
 Carver Vo-Tech is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Benjamin Franklin, their defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 10-2.
 Coincidentally,  the two teams will both be playing Coppin Academy the next time they take the court. Carver Vo-Tech will  host Coppin Academy at 5:15  p.m.  on Thursday, while Benjamin Franklin will head out to face them  on Thursday.
