Baseball Recap: Leon Comes Up Short

Leon dropped to 7-6 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They lost 14-1 to the Chiles Timberwolves. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Lions couldn't push the score so high this time.

Leon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Markuan Robinson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

As for Chiles, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games.

On Chiles' side, Trace Morris was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those two runs gave Morris a new career-high. Another player making a difference was EN Bass, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Leon has already played their next contest, an 8-5 win against Port St. Joe on the 12th. As for Chiles, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-0 victory against Suwannee on the 11th.
