Baseball Recap: Leon Takes a Loss

Leon dropped to 7-6 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They lost 14-1 to the Chiles Timberwolves. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lions have suffered since February 13th.

Leon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Markuan Robinson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

As for Chiles, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games.

On Chiles' side, Trace Morris was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those two runs gave Morris a new career-high. Another player making a difference was EN Bass, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Coming up, Leon will face off against Port St. Joe at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chiles, they will square off against Suwannee at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
