Golden West has gone a perfect 8-0 against Monache recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Trailblazers will challenge the Marauders at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Golden West has seven straight victories, Monache has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Given Golden West's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 94th, while El Diamante are ranked 890th) , the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Monache's offense. They came up short against Porterville on Wednesday, falling 4-0. That's two games in a row now that Monache have lost by exactly four goals.

Golden West's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Monache, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-16-1.
