Soccer Recap: Salem vs. Lebanon
Salem had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 goals), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lebanon Greyhounds 2-1. Even though the Wildcats got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Payton Gullion was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Eli Baker scored both of Salem's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.
Salem's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Lebanon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Salem will venture away from home to square off against Greenville at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lebanon, they will head out to challenge Pinckneyville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
