Volleyball Recap: Donna North Comes Up Short

Donna North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Lyford Bulldogs. The Chiefs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in August of 2019.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-16.

Laysha Chavez paced Donna North's offense, picking up three kills. Chavez got some help from Adamaris Delgadillo and her four assists. Valeria Regalado controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Donna North's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Lyford, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Donna North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North on the 14th. As for Lyford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Juarez-Lincoln on the 14th.
