Soccer Game Preview: Smithson Valley vs. MacArthur

The Smithson Valley Rangers will take on the MacArthur Brahmas in a tournament on Saturday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Smithson Valley is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Reagan on Friday. The Rangers lost 5-0 to the Rattlers. Smithson Valley haven't had much luck with Reagan recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for MacArthur's offense. They came up short against McNeil on Friday, falling 3-0.

Smithson Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-3-1. As for MacArthur, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Smithson Valley got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 against MacArthur by a conclusive 5-0 score. Do the Rangers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Brahmas turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
