Basketball Game Preview: Central Cambria Red Devils vs. Portage Mustangs

Central Cambria hasn't had much luck against Portage recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Central Cambria Red Devils will be playing at home against the Portage Mustangs at 7:15 p.m.

On Monday, Central Cambria came up short against Westmont Hilltop and fell 54-42. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Portage had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 53-39 win over the Ramblers. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Ramblers are ranked 342nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Portage's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5. As for Central Cambria, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
