Soccer Recap: Alleghany Takes a Loss

Alleghany was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the James River Knights. While losing is never fun, Alleghany can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 316th, while James River are ranked 118th).

Alleghany's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for James River, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alleghany will venture away from home to square off against Radford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for James River, they will head out to face off against Waynesboro at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
