Omaha Central has gone 8-2 against Omaha North recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will challenge the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. Omaha Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Omaha Central fell victim to Omaha South and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Packers. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Joe Dougherty spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Omaha North hadn't done well against Burke recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Vikings sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Bulldogs. The victory was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won four matches in a row.

Omaha North also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and he was also dialed-in: Chance Kinman gave up only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Omaha North's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Markham, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

With the loss, Omaha Central broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-5. As for Omaha North, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Omaha Central has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Omaha North struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.7 strikeouts.
