Softball Recap: Great Mills Takes a Loss

Great Mills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 14-4 to the McDonough Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-9 on Wednesday.

Nikki Johnson was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Great Mills' loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for McDonough, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-7.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Great Mills will challenge rival Patuxent at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, McDonough is set to face off against their familiar foe Lackey on Wednesday.
