Baseball Recap: Treasure Coast Comes Up Short

Treasure Coast was the 7-2 winner over South Fork when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Treasure Coast Titans fell just short of the South Fork Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The loss was the Titans' first of the season.

Treasure Coast saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joshua Kummell, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Giulian Iglesias also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Treasure Coast fell to 4-1. As for South Fork, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.

Coming up, Treasure Coast will challenge John Carroll Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Fork, they will square off against Okeechobee at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Fork's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Okeechobee's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
