Preview: Triangle Math & Science Tigers vs. Woods Charter Wolves
Triangle Math & Science has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Woods Charter Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Triangle Math & Science will be strutting in after a win while Woods Charter will be coming in after a loss.
Triangle Math & Science posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Research Triangle and snuck past 48-45.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Triangle Math & Science to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ridwan Abukar, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Abukar has scored all season. Ahmed Omer was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Woods Charter suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 64-29 loss at the hands of Chatham Charter. Woods Charter was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-13.
Triangle Math & Science's victory bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Woods Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
Everything came up roses for Triangle Math & Science against Woods Charter in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 53-25 win. With Triangle Math & Science ahead 31-6 at the half, the match was all but over already.
