Baseball Recap: Berea Comes Up Short

Berea lost against Jackson County back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pirates lost 13-2 to the Generals.

Nathan Prophitt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double. Berea is 4-2 when Prophitt posts two or more runs, but 5-7 otherwise.

Berea's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-9. As for Jackson County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berea will take on Frankfort Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Jackson County, they will be playing at home against Montgomery County at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
