Volleyball Recap: Legend Comes Up Short

Legend and Mountain Vista squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Legend had to settle for second. They came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 3-0. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Legend lost, don't look at Guy Gibbs. Despite the final result, he had 16 digs and one assist. Gibbs has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 13 times he's played.

Legend now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Mountain Vista, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 22-2.

Coincidentally, Legend and Mountain Vista will both be playing Cheyenne Mountain the next time they take the court. The Golden Eagles will host the Red-Tailed Hawks at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Titans will play them later in the day, at 11:30 p.m.
