McKinney Christian Academy suffers third straight loss on the road

Recap: McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs vs. Brook Hill Guard

The McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Brook Hill on the road and fell 65-24. McKinney Christian Academy has not had much luck with Brook Hill recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, McKinney Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Sadie Zbranek scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Hannah Massingale, who scored five points.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, McKinney Christian Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Brook Hill pulled down 14 offensive rebounds.

Brook Hill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Remy Tonroy, who scored 18 points. Brenna Hill was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with four steals.

McKinney Christian Academy's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Brook Hill, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McKinney Christian Academy will take on Vanguard College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brook Hill, they will head out on the road to square off against Covenant at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Covenant comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
