Basketball Game Preview: Bryant Hurricanes vs. UMS-Wright Prep Bulldogs + Official Tickets

The Bryant Hurricanes will head out to take on the UMS-Wright Prep Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Bryant came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 64-41 to Saraland. The loss continues a trend for the Hurricanes in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite their defeat, Bryant saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Parker Foultz, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 14 points and four steals, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Braxton Bolar, who posted eight points and three steals.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for UMS-Wright Prep on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew St. Luke's Episcopal out of the water with a 75-30 final score. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Bryant's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for UMS-Wright Prep, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Bryant was able to grind out a solid victory over UMS-Wright Prep when the teams last played back in November of 2024, winning 76-69. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hurricanes since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
