Softball Recap: Lucas Christian Academy's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lucas Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 24-2 margin over the Texoma Christian Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-2 on Monday.

Chloe Robinson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Gabi Carrera and Kyla Gautreaux did most of the damage at the plate: Carrera went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple, while Gautreaux scored two runs and stole five bases while going 1-for-1. Gautreaux is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's stole at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Kayla Fahrendorf was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Lucas Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .778. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .391 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Lucas Christian Academy's record is now 3-0. As for Texoma Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lucas Christian Academy will host Garland Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Texoma Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ovilla Christian at 4:30 p.m. on March 31st.
