Soccer Recap: East Gaston Comes Up Short

East Gaston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Lincolnton Wolves, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, East Gaston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 510th, while Lincolnton are ranked 214th).

East Gaston's loss dropped their record down to 2-12-1. As for Lincolnton, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Gaston will challenge West Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lincolnton, they will face off against South Point at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
