Preview: Fillmore Central Panthers vs. Milford Eagles
The Fillmore Central Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Milford Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Fillmore Central has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Milford will arrive with seven straight wins.
Last Friday, Fillmore Central came up short against Sutton and fell 42-34. While losing is never fun, Fillmore Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while Sutton is ranked 95th).
Meanwhile, Milford scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 66-32 victory over Sandy Creek.
Fillmore Central has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season. As for Milford, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-6.
Fillmore Central suffered a grim 47-25 defeat to Milford in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Fillmore Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
