Overton has gone a perfect 6-0 against Sheffield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Wolverines will challenge the Knights at 10:00 a.m. Overton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.

Overton picked up another tournament win on Tuesday. They walked away with a 12-7 victory over Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

Cristian Gomez was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those RBI were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Daiquan Dixon, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with five stolen bases and two runs.

Overton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering only posted a batting average of .111.

Meanwhile, Sheffield was not able to break out of their rough patch last Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering.

Overton's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Sheffield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Overton's way against Sheffield when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Overton made off with a 13-5 victory. Do the Wolverines have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
