Duchesne waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins...and they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Notre Dame Rebels.

Duchesne had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final set scores came out to 24-26, 27-29, 25-19, 25-23, 16-14.

Emmie Nikodym paced Duchesne's offense, picking up 18 kills. Nikodym got some help from Lillie Benton and her 28 assists. Violet Sahaida controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Duchesne now has a winning record of 15-14. As for Notre Dame, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's done some real damage to their 10-13 record this season.

Duchesne didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Veritas Christian Academy on the 15th. Notre Dame does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
