Warrensburg piles up the points against Fort Ann

In what's become a running theme this season, the Warrensburg Burgers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 84-51 victory over Fort Ann on the road. Given Warrensburg's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 336th, while Fort Ann is ranked 759th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Steve Schloss, who scored 36 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that he posted eight or more assists. Brady Cheney was another key contributor, going 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 2 assists.

Warrensburg has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Fort Ann, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Warrensburg will be playing in front of their home fans against Whitehall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Whitehall is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Fort Ann, they will face off against Granville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Granville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Friday.
