Basketball Recap: Panther Creek Gets the Win + How To Watch

Panther Creek is still undefeated this season after their contest against Southeast Raleigh on Tuesday, but Southeast Raleigh came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Catamounts had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 64-62. This was payback for the Catamounts, who suffered a 64-51 loss the last time these two teams met.

Panther Creek had a senior duo take command as Zy'Vaun Puckett went 8-for-12 on his way to 25 points and five rebounds and Savion Mitchell dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards. Puckett also set a new season-high mark in three-point shooting accuracy with 71%. Keondre Dixie was another key player, putting up eight points.

Panther Creek's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Southeast Raleigh, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Panther Creek is taking a road trip to square off against Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Catamounts will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. As for Southeast Raleigh, they will take on Ambassador Christian School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 64.43 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
